Lazy rabbits die. February 9, 2010

Posted by tyjorg in What I Learned Tonight.

What I learned tonight is lazy rabbits die. I read a very heart warming story tonight, about a crow and a rabbit. The lessons learned in this story are very great and impactful. Here is the story.

WARNING *parts of this story are a little graphic and involve death.*

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,” Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

As you can see a lazy rabbit dies. This is a good lesson for anyone out there who has a rabbit, do not let them sit around the yard or where ever. The smart fox is always on the look out for the lazy rabbit. What else we can learn about this is, crows are black. Also we can tell that if we have a crow we need to let him sit on top of trees, they are safe there. We are safe there two, kind of. As humans we lack the ability to fly, so that is one strike against us in the quest of getting to the top of the tree. Strike to is even when we climb its hard to hold on up there, have you seen a top of the tree? It is so tiny that maybe it would just brake and then wow, it’s all over then. The third strike is the lack of a beak, that’s how crows eat and stuff, so we would not be able to eat in the tree, we would get weak and fall. We are out when it comes to being safe on the top of a tree. It is safe to say however that foxes are small and wont hurt us, so none of that even mattered.

The rabbit on the other hand needs to find a way to the top. It is the job of rabbit owners to see that this gets done. Pull out all the stops, rabbits can’t run around forever. It is interesting to think that even though there are black rabbits, they still can’t climb a tree. We learned in paragraph one that because the crow is on the top of the tree that means crows are black. I am not sure how I knew that, I must be smart. Anyway the lesson is always the same, don’t be lazy and climb lots of trees. Stay alive today ok? Keep that rabbit alive, tie it to the top if you have to.
